  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast Cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tbsp potato flakes Instant mashed potatoes that add extra crunch
  • 1/3 cup cold water
  • 1 tsp garlic salt Or substitute with 1/2 tsp garlic powder + 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper For a touch of seasoning
  • 2 1/2 cups corn flakes cereal To create that crispy coating (use 3/4 cup crushed)
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese Finely grated for added flavor

  • Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). This ensures that your nuggets will cook evenly and get that perfect golden-brown color.
  • Step 2: In a medium bowl, combine the potato flakes and cold water. Stir well until the mixture is smooth.
  • Step 3: In a separate bowl, add the chicken pieces. Sprinkle the garlic salt and black pepper over the chicken and toss to ensure all pieces are evenly coated.
  • Step 4: Dip each piece of seasoned chicken into the potato mixture, making sure it’s fully coated. Then, roll it in the crushed corn flakes until well-covered.
  • Step 5: Line your baking sheet with parchment paper (if using) and arrange the coated chicken nuggets in a single layer.
  • Step 6: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the nuggets are golden brown and cooked through.
  • Step 7: In the last 5 minutes of baking, sprinkle the finely grated parmesan cheese over the nuggets for an extra layer of flavor.
  • Step 8: Once the nuggets are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Serve with your favorite dipping sauces!
