Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons vanilla extract for extra flavor
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt to balance flavors

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line your baking pan with parchment paper for easy removal later.
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter along with one bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips. Stir continuously until smooth and fully combined. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, water or coffee, and the melted chocolate mixture. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  • Gently fold in the remaining bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips into the brownie batter, ensuring an even distribution.
  • Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
