Ingredients

  • 2 large boneless skinless chicken breasts (about 1 pound)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 1.5 cups breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1.25 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1.25 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1.25 teaspoons salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  • Start by trimming the chicken breasts of any excess fat. Cut the chicken into thin strips, about 1 inch wide.
  • In three separate bowls, set up your breading station: Place the flour in the first bowl, beat the eggs in the second bowl, and combine breadcrumbs with spices in the third bowl.
  • Coat each chicken strip in flour, then dip it into the beaten eggs, and finally roll it in the breadcrumb mixture.
  • Heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat until ready.
  • Fry chicken strips for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  • Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces.

  • Cutting Board

Notes

  • Try using whole wheat or gluten-free breadcrumbs for a healthier option.
  • Bake at 400°F for about 20 minutes for a lighter version.
  • Add cayenne pepper to the breadcrumb mixture for extra heat.
