Ingredients

  • 1 pound spaghetti noodles or any pasta use your favorite pasta shape
  • 1 cup unsalted butter cubed
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese freshly grated
  • to taste Chopped parsley optional

Instructions

  • Fill a large pot with water and bring it to a rolling boil. Add a generous pinch of salt and the spaghetti noodles, cooking according to package instructions until al dente.
  • Carefully drain the cooked noodles in a colander, reserving a cup of the pasta water for later use.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, add the cubed unsalted butter and allow it to melt gently, swirling the pan occasionally.
  • Once melted and bubbling, sprinkle in the garlic powder and stir well to combine, infusing the butter.
  • Add the drained pasta to the skillet and toss it in the buttery garlic mixture, adding reserved pasta water if needed.
  • Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the pasta and toss until it melts and clings to the noodles.
  • Transfer the Buttered Noodles to serving bowls and garnish with chopped parsley if desired. Serve warm!
