Ingredients

For the Pasta Bake:

  • 8 oz penne pasta
  • 2 cups cooked chicken shredded
  • 2 cups Alfredo sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup broccoli florets steamed
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup turkey bacon cooked and crumbled (optional)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Cooking Instructions:

  • Step 1: Cook the Pasta - Start by boiling a large pot of water. Once it’s boiling, add the penne pasta and a pinch of salt. Cook according to the package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain the pasta in a colander and set it aside.
  • Step 2: Prepare the Chicken and Veggies - In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, steamed broccoli florets, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt. If you’re using turkey bacon, add that as well. Mix everything until well combined.
  • Step 3: Combine with Alfredo Sauce - Pour the Alfredo sauce into the chicken and vegetable mixture. Stir until all the ingredients are evenly coated with the sauce.
  • Step 4: Mix in the Pasta - Add the cooked penne pasta to the mixture. Gently fold the pasta into the chicken and Alfredo sauce until everything is well combined.
  • Step 5: Transfer to Baking Dish - Drizzle the bottom of your baking dish with olive oil to prevent sticking. Pour the Chicken Alfredo mixture into the baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
  • Step 6: Add the Cheese - Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese generously over the top of the pasta mixture. This will create a delightful cheesy crust as it bakes.
  • Step 7: Bake - Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Once preheated, place the baking dish in the oven and bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
