Ingredients

For the Vanilla Dough:

  • 100 g soft butter
  • 50 g powdered sugar
  • 50 g starch
  • 140 g flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Chocolate Dough:

  • 100 g soft butter
  • 50 g powdered sugar
  • 50 g starch
  • 120 g flour
  • 20 g black cocoa
  • 1 large egg

Instructions

From Start to Finish:

  • Step 1: Prepare your ingredients. Gather all your ingredients and preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • Step 2: Make the Vanilla Cookie Dough. Cream together 100g of soft butter and 50g of powdered sugar until light and fluffy. Add in the starch, flour, egg, and vanilla extract, mixing until just combined.
  • Step 3: Make the Chocolate Cookie Dough. Repeat the mixing process with another 100g soft butter and 50g powdered sugar, then blend in starch, flour, black cocoa, and egg until smooth.
  • Step 4: Create the Swirl Effect. Place a tablespoon of each dough next to each other on the baking sheet and swirl gently with a toothpick.
  • Step 5: Bake the Cookies. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Step 6: Cool and Enjoy. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
