Instructions

  • Begin by rinsing your uncooked white rice under cold water. This step helps remove excess starch, resulting in fluffier grains after cooking.
  • Add the rinsed rice, water, and a pinch of salt into the Instant Pot. Stir gently to combine.
  • Secure the lid on your Instant Pot, making sure the valve is set to “sealing.” Select the “Rice” function, which typically takes about 12 minutes. Once the cooking cycle is complete, allow for a natural pressure release for about 10 minutes before switching the valve to “venting” to release any remaining pressure.
  • Once the pressure has been fully released, open the lid and use a fork or spatula to fluff the rice gently. Add the chopped cilantro and fresh lime juice, folding them into the rice until evenly distributed.
