Ingredients

For the Guacamole:

  • 2 cups diced ripe avocado (about 2 medium avocados)
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon freshly grated garlic
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
  • ½ cup finely diced tomato
  • 3 tablespoons minced onion
  • 2 tablespoons minced cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon minced jalapeño (optional)

Instructions

Preparation Steps:

  • Start by cutting the avocados in half, removing the pit, and scooping the flesh into your mixing bowl.
  • Using a fork or potato masher, mash the avocados to your desired consistency—smooth or chunky, it's up to you!
  • Pour in the freshly squeezed lime juice and add the grated garlic. This not only adds flavor but also helps prevent the avocados from browning.
  • Sprinkle in the kosher salt and cracked black pepper. Taste and adjust if necessary; remember, you can always add more, but you can’t take it away!
  • Gently fold in the diced tomato, minced onion, cilantro, and optional jalapeño. Be careful not to overmix, as you want the ingredients to retain some texture.
  • Transfer your guacamole to a serving bowl and, if desired, garnish with extra cilantro or a slice of lime. Enjoy with tortilla chips, on tacos, or as a side to your favorite dishes!
