Ingredients

  • 1 can crescent roll dough
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup crab meat shredded
  • 2 green onions chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (ensure halal-certified or substitute with soy sauce)
  • 0.5 tsp lemon juice
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Preparation

  • Start by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded crab meat, chopped green onions, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Mix everything thoroughly until the filling is smooth and well incorporated.
  • Open the can of crescent roll dough and carefully unroll it onto a clean surface. Separate the dough into triangles as indicated on the package.
  • Place about a tablespoon of the crab and cream cheese mixture near the wide end of each crescent triangle. Carefully roll up each triangle starting at the wide end, tucking in the filling as you go, and curve the ends slightly to form a crescent shape.
  • Arrange the filled crescents on your prepared baking sheet, spacing them a little apart. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the rolls are golden brown and cooked through.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving. These rolls are best enjoyed warm, fresh out of the oven.

Equipment

  • Baking Sheet
  • Parchment Paper
  • Mixing Bowl

Notes

  • For best results, soften cream cheese before mixing to ensure a smooth filling.
  • Do not overfill the crescent rolls to prevent leakage during baking.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheat in the oven to maintain flakiness.
