Easy no yeast Air Fryer flatbread pita

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ¾ cup water
  • ¾ cup full-fat or low-fat plain or Greek yogurt
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the 2 cups of flour, 1 tsp of salt, and 1 tsp of baking powder.
  • Add the ¾ cup of water and ¾ cup of yogurt to the dry mixture. Drizzle in 1 Tbsp of olive oil. Mix until a dough begins to form.
  • Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Knead gently for about 1-2 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Divide the dough into 6-8 equal portions. Roll each piece into a ball and then flatten it. Roll out each ball into a thin round, about ¼ inch thick.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Place one or two flatbreads in the air fryer and cook for approximately 5 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  • Once cooked, remove the flatbreads and keep warm in a clean kitchen towel. Repeat with the remaining dough.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Freeze individual flatbreads wrapped in plastic for up to 3 months.
