Ingredients

  • 8 oz. spaghetti (230g)
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter (melted)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • 3 dashes ground black pepper
  • Red chili flakes (to taste)
  • Parsley leaves (finely chopped, for garnishing)

Instructions

  • Begin by bringing a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions, usually around 8-10 minutes, until al dente. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
  • While the pasta is cooking, heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the extra virgin olive oil and melted butter. Once hot, add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  • Once the spaghetti is cooked, reserve about 1 cup of the pasta water, then drain the rest using a colander. Add the drained spaghetti directly to the skillet with the garlic oil. Toss to combine, adding reserved pasta water as needed to create a silky sauce.
  • Sprinkle in salt, ground black pepper, and red chili flakes. Toss everything together until well combined. Adjust seasoning according to your taste preferences.
  • Remove from heat and transfer the Easy Spaghetti to serving plates. Garnish with finely chopped parsley leaves for a fresh finish. Enjoy your meal hot!
