Instructions
Prep Your Spreads
In a small bowl, gently mix the coconut cream and honey until combined and smooth. This blend will infuse your sandwich with creamy sweetness and a delicate coconut flavor.
Spread the Layers
Take two slices of your chosen bread. Spread the chocolate spread evenly over one slice. On the other slice, spread the coconut cream and honey mixture. Sprinkle shredded coconut generously over the coconut layer, and if using, add the chopped nuts evenly on top.
Assemble the Sandwich
Carefully place the chocolate-spread slice on top of the coconut-spread slice, creating the sandwich. Press gently to ensure everything sticks together.
Butter and Grill
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Spread butter on the outside of both slices of bread. Place the sandwich in the skillet and grill for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until the bread is golden brown and crispy, and the fillings are warmed through.
Serve and Enjoy
Remove from the skillet and let cool for a minute. Slice in half if you prefer, and enjoy the warm, fluffy, and rich flavors of your Fluffy Coconut Choco Sandwich.
Equipment
Non-stick skillet or frying pan
Spatula
Butter knife or spoon
Small Bowl
Notes
To keep the bread from getting soggy, use just enough coconut cream and honey to coat the bread thinly.
Grill the sandwich on medium heat to avoid burning the bread before the filling is warmed through.
Store leftover sandwiches at room temperature for up to 6 hours; freeze for longer storage and reheat before serving.
