Ingredients

For the Salad:

  • 1 lb strawberries Fresh and hulled, sliced or quartered.
  • 1 lb grapes Any variety, washed and halved if large.
  • 2 apples Any type you prefer, cored and diced.
  • 2 bananas Peeled and sliced.
  • 1 cup blueberries Fresh or frozen, rinsed.

For the Citrus and Honey Syrup:

  • 2 rounded tablespoons honey For a natural sweetener.
  • 1 lemon or lime Juice of 1, freshly squeezed for brightness.
  • 1/2 each of lemon and lime A mix for a unique flavor twist.

Instructions

Instructions:

  • Start by washing all your fruits thoroughly. Hull the strawberries, slice them into quarters, and place them in a large mixing bowl. Wash the grapes, and if they are large, halve them. Core and dice the apples, and peel and slice the bananas. Add all these fruits to the bowl along with the blueberries.
  • In a small bowl, combine the honey and the freshly squeezed juice of your chosen citrus (lemon, lime, or a mix of both). Stir well until the honey is fully dissolved in the juice, creating a smooth syrup.
  • Drizzle the citrus and honey syrup over the mixed fruits in the bowl. Gently toss everything together using a spatula or your hands, ensuring that all the fruits are evenly coated with the syrup. Be careful not to mash the delicate fruits.
  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate the fruit salad for at least 30 minutes. This allows the flavors to meld and the fruits to chill, making it even more refreshing. Serve it in individual bowls or a large serving dish.
