  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp almond extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour scooped and leveled
  • 3 Tbsp nonpareils sprinkles divided

Instructions

  • Gather all your ingredients and tools. Ensure the butter is cold and diced.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cold diced butter and granulated sugar. Beat until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Add almond extract to the butter mixture and mix until fully incorporated.
  • Gradually add the all-purpose flour and mix on low speed until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  • Gently fold in 2 tablespoons of nonpareils sprinkles using a spatula.

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Roll out the chilled dough to about 1/4 inch thickness and cut out shapes.
