Ingredients

  • 6 tablespoons butter unsalted
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 2 cloves garlic pressed
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest optional
  • to taste fresh herbs for garnish

Instructions

  • Gather all your ingredients. Press the garlic cloves using a garlic press, and measure out the butter, lemon juice, and any additional ingredients.
  • In a small saucepan over low heat, add the 6 tablespoons of butter. Allow it to melt slowly to prevent burning.
  • Once the butter is melted, add the pressed garlic to the pan. Stir continuously for about 1-2 minutes, until the garlic is fragrant but not browned.
  • Stir in the 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, mixing well with the butter and garlic.
  • Add salt and pepper to taste. If you’re using lemon zest, stir it in at this stage for an extra burst of flavor.
  • Remove the saucepan from the heat. Drizzle the sauce over your desired dish and garnish with fresh herbs of your choice before serving.
