  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 3 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup chicken broth

Instructions

  • Start by collecting all your ingredients. Having everything on hand makes the cooking process smoother and more enjoyable.
  • In a small bowl, combine the Italian seasoning, onion powder, garlic powder, kosher salt, and ground black pepper. Rub this seasoning mixture all over the chicken breasts, ensuring they are well-coated.
  • Place the seasoned chicken breasts in the Instant Pot. Pour the chicken broth over the chicken, which will help keep it moist during cooking.
  • Close the lid of the Instant Pot and make sure the valve is set to “sealing.” Select the “Manual” or “Pressure Cook” setting and set the timer for 10 minutes on high pressure.
  • Once the cooking time is up, allow the Instant Pot to naturally release pressure for about 5 minutes. After that, carefully switch the valve to “venting” to release any remaining steam.
  • Open the lid and use two forks to shred the chicken directly in the pot. It should pull apart easily! If desired, you can mix the shredded chicken with the broth for added flavor and moisture.
