  • Step 3: Drain and Mash - Once the potatoes are cooked, drain them in a colander. Return the drained potatoes to the pot. Use a potato masher to mash them to your desired consistency.
  • Step 4: Add the Creaminess - In a small saucepan, heat the milk and butter over low heat until melted. Gradually pour this mixture into the mashed potatoes, stirring until creamy. Season with salt and pepper.
