Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 2 sticks (16 tablespoons; 8 ounces) unsalted butter browned and brought back to room temperature
  • 1 cup + 2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs at room temperature
  • 2 cups M&M minis

Instructions

  • Step 1: Prepare Your Oven - Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). This ensures that your cookies bake evenly.
  • Step 2: Brown the Butter - In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter. Continue to cook, stirring frequently, until the butter turns golden brown and has a nutty aroma. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
  • Step 3: Combine Dry Ingredients - In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and fine sea salt. Set aside.
  • Step 4: Mix Wet Ingredients - In another bowl, combine the browned butter, dark brown sugar, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing until fully incorporated.
