Ingredients

  • 1 cup Oreo cookies crushed (approximately 10-12 cookies)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 package cream cheese 8 oz, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 box brownie mix 15 oz (choose your favorite brand)
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil for brownie mix preparation
  • 1/4 cup water for brownie mix preparation

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a small bowl, combine the crushed Oreo cookies with the melted butter. Press this mixture evenly into the bottom of your greased 9x9-inch baking pan to form the crust. Set aside.
  • In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy using an electric mixer or whisk. Add the sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until combined. Then add the large egg and mix until the filling is smooth and slightly fluffy. Set aside.
  • In a separate large bowl, prepare the brownie mix according to package instructions. Combine the brownie mix with 2 eggs, vegetable oil, and water. Stir until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
  • Pour half of the brownie batter over the Oreo crust in the baking pan, spreading it evenly. Carefully spread the cheesecake filling over the brownie layer. Dollop the remaining brownie batter over the cheesecake layer and gently spread it to cover as much as possible. Some marbling is perfect.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Avoid overbaking to keep it fudgy. Allow bars to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before slicing.
