Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your 9x13 inch baking pan to ensure easy removal of the brownies later.
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the room-temperature butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the four large eggs to the creamed mixture one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the pure orange extract and grated orange zest.
In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix!
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
While the brownies are baking, prepare the glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar, freshly squeezed orange juice, and finely grated orange zest in a small bowl.
Once the brownies are done baking, let them cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Remove them from the pan and place them on a cooling rack. Drizzle the orange glaze over the warm brownies.
Once the brownies have cooled completely, slice them into squares and serve. Enjoy!
