  • 1 cup berries fresh strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries
  • as needed mint for garnish

Instructions

Instructions:

  • Step 1: Preheat Your Waffle Iron. Begin by preheating your waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions for a crispy exterior.
  • Step 2: Prepare the Puff Pastry. Unfold the thawed puff pastry on a floured surface and roll it out to about 1/8 inch thickness if necessary.
  • Step 3: Cut the Puff Pastry. Cut the pastry into squares or rectangles that fit your waffle iron, slightly larger than the grid size.
  • Step 4: Spray the Waffle Iron. Lightly spray the preheated waffle iron with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  • Step 5: Cook the Waffles. Place the pastry squares in the waffle iron and cook for 4-6 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
  • Step 6: Remove and Cool. Carefully remove the waffles with a spatula and cool on a wire rack.
  • Step 7: Serve and Garnish. Serve warm topped with fresh berries and mint, and drizzle with honey or maple syrup if desired.
