Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 1 oven bag Gorton’s Simply Bake Shrimp Classic Scampi
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 red bell pepper sliced
  • 2 cups fresh spinach
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 oz. dry angel hair pasta

Instructions

Method

  • Start by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the angel hair pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 4-5 minutes. Drain the pasta in a colander and set aside.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil. Once hot, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic! Next, add the sliced red bell pepper and cook for about 3-4 minutes until slightly softened.
  • Add the fresh spinach to the skillet and stir until wilted, about 2 minutes. Then, open the oven bag of Gorton’s Simply Bake Shrimp Classic Scampi and add the shrimp along with its sauce to the skillet. Stir gently to combine all ingredients.
  • Once the shrimp is heated through, add the cooked angel hair pasta to the skillet. Toss all the ingredients together, ensuring the pasta is well coated with the garlic and shrimp sauce. Season with salt to taste.
  • Remove the skillet from heat and serve immediately. This dish is best enjoyed fresh, garnished with a sprinkle of extra black pepper or a squeeze of lemon juice if desired.
