  • 1/3 cup pizza sauce your favorite brand or homemade
  • 8 ounces fresh mozzarella shredded
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning blend of herbs
  • 1 clove garlic thinly sliced
  • 1 package spicy sausage (12 ounces)
  • 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes roughly chopped
  • 1 handful fresh arugula leaves

Instructions

Preparation Steps:

  • Start by rolling out your pizza crust into a large square on a floured surface, about ½ inch thick.
  • Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C), placing the pizza stone in the oven while preheating.
  • Drizzle the rolled-out dough with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, spreading it evenly across the surface.
  • Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust.
  • Sprinkle the shredded fresh mozzarella generously over the sauce.
  • Sprinkle the Italian seasoning over the cheese, and distribute the sliced garlic evenly on top.
  • Arrange the sliced spicy sausage over the cheese and garlic, distributing it evenly.
  • Sprinkle the chopped sun-dried tomatoes over the pizza.
  • Carefully transfer the pizza to your preheated pizza stone or baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes.
  • Once out of the oven, top the hot pizza with a handful of fresh arugula.
  • Let the pizza cool for a couple of minutes, then slice into squares and serve hot.
